Faqs for AP Encoders services

Are AP encoders absolute?

AP encoders are absolute encoders, providing position data immediately on start-up, without homing or motion.

 

Is there an option for SSI interface?

AP encoders support BiSS C serial interface. More information on LENZ BiSS C  implementation. Although we do not recommend using SSI to communicate with LENZ encoders, this can be implemented by special request. Please contact us for more information.

Is there any influence of magnetic and conductive materials on encoder’s measurements?

Materials with magnetic properties or conductivity near LENZ encoder’s rotor or stator do not effect measurements in any way.
